Multigrain Potato Murukku

Ingredients to make Multigrain Potato Murukku

  • 250 gms Rice Flour
  • 2 medium sized potatoes boiled
  • 150 gms multi grain powder
  • 1 Tsp Red Chilli Powder
  • Oil for Frying
  • Salt to Taste

How to make Multigrain Potato Murukku

  1. Boil the potatoes and mash them well. Ensure there are no lumps. Mix rice flour, mashed potato, red chilli powder, multigrain powder and salt. Add 1 and half tbsp of sizzling hot oil. Mix well. Pour enough water to form a nice soft dough.
  2. Grease the murukku press with little oil and then fill the dough and start pressing. Heat the oil, check by adding a pinch of dough and if it raises immediately, then the oil is ready. Now carefully flip over the murukkus and deep fry.
  3. Turn over and cook. Deep fry till it is slightly brown in colour. Repeat this process until the entire dough finishes. Place them on a tissue paper to drain the excess oil.
  4. Once it cools store them in an airtight container.
  5. Enjoy the Crispy Murukus!
My Tip: The multi grain powder consists of the ingredients, roasted quinoa, chia seeds, flax seeds and green gram powder.

Can anything else be used other than the multi grain? ? If not...what's the proportion of quinoa. ..Chia and green gram?? Thank you
