Ingredients to make Sweet Potato Halwa - Healthy Dessert (Diabetic friendly)

  • Sweet Potato boiled with skin peeled and mashed - 1 Cup
  • Grated Jaggery - 1 cup
  • Pure ghee - 1 tsp
  • Cashews - few

How to make Sweet Potato Halwa - Healthy Dessert (Diabetic friendly)

  1. Wash, peel, remove ends and grate the sweet potato.
  2. Heat ghee in a pan and fry cashews and keep aside
  3. Take jaggery equal to the quantity of mashed sweet potato
  4. Heat a pan, add jaggery and a cup of water.
  5. When jaggery thickens a little (like honey), add mashed sweet potato.
  6. Cook the whole mixture for a few min,till the mixture leaves the sides of the pan
  7. Garnish with fried cashews

My Tip:

ou can use any kind of sweet potato for this recipe. Adjust sweetness based on the sweetness of the sweet potato
