Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. White bread 8 slices
  2. Ghee for Deep Frying
  3. Water 1/2 cup
  4. Sugar 1 1/2 cups
  5. Elaichi/Green cardamom 2-3 nos
  6. Raisins 32 nos
  7. Halved cashews 16 nos
  8. Milk 1 ltr
  9. Kewra essence or rose water 1/2 tspn

Instructions

  1. Heat milk in shallow pan, till it boils, stirring continuous and slowly adding half cup sugar
  2. Reduce milk till it reaches the consistency of thick rabdi and then keep aside
  3. Make sugar syrup by boiling half cup of water with one cup of sugar and green cardamoms
  4. Cut the sides of bread slices and cut them into halves diagonally
  5. Heat ghee in a pan for deep frying till medium hot and deep fry the bread slices till golden brown and crisp
  6. Take it out from oil and dip it in sugar syrup for 5 secs and again take it out
  7. . Arrange the bread slices dipped in sugar syrup on the serving plate
  8. Partially coat each slice with rabdi
  9. Garnish with raisins and cashews
  10. Sprinkle kewra essence or rose water evenly on all slices and Shaahi Tukda is ready
