Beetroot Soup

Ingredients to make Beetroot Soup

  • Beetroot - 2
  • Garlic - 5 cloves
  • Onion - 1 (Sliced)
  • Butter - 3 tsp
  • Pepper powder - As per taste
  • Salt - As per taste
  • Water - 2 cups ( to boil the beetroots )

How to make Beetroot Soup

  1. Chop the beetroots roughly. Add two cups of water in a pressure cooker and add the chopped beetroots.
  2. While the beetroots boil, place a thick bottomed pan in the stove. Once heated, add butter.
  3. Add the garlic cloves, onions and saute well. Keep it separately.
  4. Once the beetroots are boiled, separate them from the water. Save the water in a separate bowl. Allow the beetroots to cool.
  5. Once the beetroots are cooled, grind them well using a blender.
  6. Now, to the thick bottomed pan, where we sauteed the onions and garlic, add the saved water and the beetroot.
  7. Let this boil for three minutes.
  8. Add required pepper and salt. Serve hot.

My Tip:

Mix one table spoon of corn flour in little amount of water and add it to the soup finally to thicken it .
