Ingredients to make Kaya curry with rice dumplings

  • Raw banana
  • rice and urad dal batter
  • Coconut oil
  • Red chillies
  • Turmeric Powder
  • Coconut
  • urad dal
  • Mustard seeds
  • curry leaves
  • banana leaves
  • Asafoetida
  • Salt to taste

  • Drum sticks

How to make Kaya curry with rice dumplings

  1. Boil and mash the raw bananas.
  2. Heat oil in a pan and add mustard seeds along with urad dal and curry leaves drum sticks and turmeric powder.
  3. Now add the mashed bananas to it and saute for 2 minutes and keep it aside.
  4. Meanwhile prepare rice dumplings or idlis with rice and urad dal batter and keep them aside.
  5. Now place the raw banana curry on banana leaf and garnish it with coconut shavings and curry leaves.
  6. Place the rice dumplings along with it.
