ABOUT Penicillin - Honey, Ginger and Whiskey Cocktail RECIPE

Founded and named by a New York City bartender, this cocktail is aptly called The Penicillin because of the ingredients that are used in here - Honey and Ginger. It may not cure you of your cold or fever, but it will surely make you enjoy a chilly evening.

Ingredients Serving: 1

  1. 4 ounce whiskey or scotch
  2. 1 ounce ginger syrup
  3. 1 ounce Honey (I used Dabur Honey)
  4. Ginger slices for garnishing
  5. 1 ouce orange juice or lemon juice

Instructions

  1. Make Ginger Syrup by peeling the ginger it and slicing it into little pieces.
  2. Then add 1 cup of sugar + 1/2 cup water to a saucepan and bring to a boil. Reduce the heat to medium-low, and allow to simmer. Add ginger and muddle for 5 minutes
  3. Strain out the ginger and allow the syrup to cool
  4. In a Cocktail shaker add the orange juice, ginger syrup, honey and whiskey
  5. Add some ice cubes in a whiskey glass and pour the cocktail over the ice
  6. •Add some ice cubes in a whiskey glass and pour the cocktail over the ice Garnish with some candied ginger
