ABOUT KASHMIRI NAAN RECIPE

kashmiri naans are little different from the regular ones and are very flavourful, so make these at home with this easy recipe.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. All purpose flour - 1 cup
  2. Baking Powder - 1/4 tsp
  3. Salt - a pinch
  4. Sugar - A pinch
  5. Oil - 1 tbsp
  6. Curd - 2 tbsp
  7. Milk - 1/2 cup
  8. Butter - 100 gms
  9. Onion seeds - 2 tbsp
  10. For stuffing
  11. Almonds - 10 - 12
  12. Cashew nuts - 10 - 12
  13. Raisins - 2 tbsp
  14. Coconut powder - 2 tbsp
  15. Honey - 1 tbsp

Instructions

  1. In a kneading bowl mix together all purpose flour,baking powder,salt,sugar,curd and oil.
  2. Add milk little by little and make a soft dough.
  3. Cover and keep aside for one to two hour in a hot place.
  4. Grind the almond and cashew nuts to make a powder.
  5. Add raisins,coconut powder and honey and mix well.
  6. Now stuffing is ready.
  7. Take some dough and and make medium size balls.
  8. Roll into balls.
  9. Stuff the one tbsp filling then roll out the naan.
  10. Add onion seeds and sprinkle some dry flour and roll out.
  11. Grease oven plate with butter.
  12. Place the naan in preheated oven of 250 .c for five mins.
  13. Serve hot.
