ABOUT Spinach and soya rice RECIPE

A super easy delicious and healthy one pot meal for the days you don't wish to spend more time in the kitchen yet want to eat tasty and healthy. It is made extra delicious with the Syracuse spice.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Spinach a bunch
  2. Soya chunks 50g
  3. Basmati rice 1 cup
  4. Green chilies 4-5
  5. Ginger 1 inch
  6. Garlic 7-8 cloves
  7. Onion 1 chopped
  8. Syracuse 1+2 teaspoon
  9. Clove 5-6
  10. Cinnamon stick 1 inch
  11. Curd 1/4 cup
  12. Soy sauce 1 Tablespoon
  13. Apple Cider Vinegar 1 tablespoon
  14. Honey 1 tablespoon
  15. Chilly flakes 1 teaspoon
  16. Salt per taste
  17. Refined oil l

Instructions

  1. Cook the soya chunks in boiling hot water with some salt. Wash the chunks and squeeze the water out.
  2. Marinate the soya chunks with soy sauce, apple cider vinegar, Syracuse spice, crushed garlic, honey, ginger, chilly flakes and salt for half an hour.
  3. Clean and chop the spinach leaves. Grind them with ginger, garlic and green chilies to a fine paste
  4. Take refined oil in a pressure cooker, add clove and cinnamon sticks.
  5. Once it's fragment add chopped onions.
  6. When the onion turns translucent add the marinated soya chunks and saute for 2-3 minutes.
  7. Add curd.
  8. Add spinach and Syracuse spice and saute everything for 2-3 minutes.
  9. Add rice and water and pressure cook for 2 whistle blows.
  10. Serve hot with raita and salad.
