Honey Caramel Mini Spanish Flan/Pudding

ABOUT Honey Caramel Mini Spanish Flan/Pudding RECIPE

Its one of my fevourite dessert.Here I have used honey with sugar to make caramel which make it more healthy.

Ingredients Serving: 9

  1. Egg-3 numbers
  2. Lukewarm milk-1/2 cup
  3. Condensed milk-260 gram or 2/3 tin
  4. Vanilla essence-2 teaspoon
  5. Sugar-1/2 Cup
  6. Honey-1/2 cup
  7. For garnishing,
  8. Strawberry-few number
  9. Mint leaves-few number

Instructions

  1. First make caramel.Take sugar in a pan or saucepan.Add 1 tablespoon water.
  2. Allow it to melt.Stir it continuously.
  3. Add honey when caramelised. Cook for 2-3 minutes.
  4. Switch off the flame.
  5. Take 9-10 mini moulds and pour 1.5 tablespoon honey caramel in each mould. Let it set.
  6. To make caramel decoration, take a parchment papper.Put a heart shaped cookie cutter on that.
  7. Spread little honey caramel in it.Let it cool.Keep it in fridge.This decoration is totally optional.
  8. Break eggs in a mixing bowl.Whisk it well.
  9. Add condensed milk.Mix it well.
  10. Add lukewarm milk and whisk everything very well.
  11. Add vanilla essence. Mix it.
  12. Now fill the mould with this mixture.
  13. Put all the mould in a baking tray.
  14. Add hot water into baking tray.We need to give a hot water bath to set the flan.
  15. Put the tray in a preheated oven.Bake it for 30-35 minutes at 180°C.
  16. Take it out and then cool it in the wire rack.
  17. To demould the flan,put 1 min in a hot water bowl.It will help to demould the honey caramel flan. Or you can run a knife to loose the sides.
  18. Then flip to serving plate.
  19. Garnish with strawberry and mint leaves.
  20. Serve it with leftover honey caramel.
  21. Place the honey caramel heart in side for decoration which we have made before.
