Ingredients Serving: 10

  1. All purpose flour- 1 1/2 cups
  2. Baking soda- 1/4 tsp
  3. Salt- a pinch (skip if using salted butter)
  4. Powdered brown sugar- 1/2 cup
  5. Unsalted butter- 100gms(must be softened)
  6. Large Egg-1
  7. Chocolate chips- 3/4 cup
  8. Vanilla extract- 1 tsp
  9. Baking powder- 1/4 tsp

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven at 180 deg C. Grease and line 2 large cookie sheets.
  2. Take butter in a large and clean glass bowl and start whipping till light(2 minutes), add the sugar and whip again till fluffy (another 2 minutes).
  3. Now add the vanilla extract and egg and whip well.
  4. Combine the dry ingredients -flour, salt, baking soda and baking powder together.
  5. Add dry ingredients to the creamed butter- sugar mix and combine well.
  6. Add 1/2 cup chocolate chips and mix lightly.
  7. Chill dough for 15-20 minutes.
  8. Drop rounded tablespoons onto baking sheets and press to flatten slightly. Bake for about 10 minutes till golden.
  9. Take out and cool on wire racks.
  10. To prepare Chocolate drizzle- Melt 1/4 cup chocolate chips in the microwave, prepare a small icing bag by using thick parchment, pour melted chocolate into the bag and drizzle on top of cookies.
