Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. Rice powder - 1 bowl
  2. Jaggery grated 2 cup
  3. Coconut 2 cup
  4. Cardamom 5-6 nospowdered
  5. water 1 bowl
  6. Salt to taste
  7. ghee

Instructions

  1. Take deep pot add rice powder, salt and water.
  2. Mix well and place it on gas stove stirring continously.
  3. Let it cook for 5 mins or until it forms dough consistency
  4. Remove from fire and set side
  5. Next step, take grated coconut, grated jaggery and cardamom powder mix nicely and set aside our filling is ready for modak.
  6. Divide dough in several equal portion of small balls.
  7. Apply little ghee in your hand and take small rice ball and just flatten in your palm and make little bowl shape, fill small spoon of jaggery and cocnut mixture and seal dough properly giving modak shape.
  8. Now heat idli cooker boil little water in to it.
  9. Set your idli tray and place all your modak and steam for 10 mins
  10. Your hot rice modak is ready to serve
