ABOUT Appe ( Nutritious balls) RECIPE

Appe is nutritious mix of pulses, rice, spices and herbs.

Ingredients Serving: 0

  1. Rice -1 glassfull
  2. Chana Dal - 1/2 glass
  3. urad dhuli dal - 3/4 glass
  4. green moong dal - 3/4 glass
  5. tuar/ arhar dal - 2 tbsp
  6. Green chillies - 3-4
  7. Garlic cloves 10-12
  8. ginger - 1inch approx
  9. jeera - 2tsp
  10. asafoetida a pinchful
  11. Salt to taste
  12. curry leaves, 10-12 leaves
  13. beasn a spoonful

Instructions

  1. Soak all above daals for 4-5 hours
  2. Grind the soaked dals to paste, a rough paste will also do
  3. Mix all spices and herbs and shallow fry in appe patram
  4. Serve hot with coriander chilly chutney/ dip
