Oats Rava Dhokla

Ingredients to make Oats Rava Dhokla

  • 1 cup roasted rava
  • 1 cup oats powder
  • 1 cup curd
  • 1 tsp chilli paste
  • 1 tsp garlic paste
  • a pinch of haldi powder
  • Water as required to make the batter
  • 1 tsp eno fruitsalt (1 sachet)
  • Oil to grease + for tadka/tempering - 1 tsp
  • mustard seeds - 1 tsp
  • asafoetida 1 pinch
  • coriander leaves for garnishing
  • Salt as per taste
  • curry leaves a few

How to make Oats Rava Dhokla

  1. In a big bowl, add rava, oats powder, curd, salt and haldi.
  2. Make batter like that of idli batter if required add water.
  3. Heat the dhokla steamer, grease the dhokla plate with a little oil.
  4. Add batter in it and steam for 10 - 12 minutes or till done.
  5. Prepare tempering with oil, mustard seeds, asafoetida and curry leaves.
  6. Add the tempering on the dhokla plate, cut it in diamond shapes and garnish with coriander leaves.
