ABOUT Brinjal Rawa Fry RECIPE

Very tempting and tasty Maharashtrian recipe,which is veg version of Fish rawa fry.It can be served as snacks or starter.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Big Brinjals (Bhrata bengan) 1
  2. Rawa/Suji/Semolina 1 tablespoon
  3. Turmeric powder 1/2 teaspoon
  4. Red chilly powder 1 teaspoon
  5. Amchur powder 1 tsp
  6. Tandoori Masala/Garam Masala 1/2 teaspoon
  7. Salt to taste
  8. Oil for shallow frying
  9. Chopped coriander for garnishing

Instructions

  1. Cut Brinjal in thin rounds (slices) and prick it with knife or fork 2 to 3 places
  2. Apply Turmeric powder and salt and keep aside for approximately 5 minutes
  3. After some time ,brinjal will leave it's juices
  4. In a plate , take Suji, salt, red chilly powder,amchur powder and tandoori / garam masala.
  5. Mix well and coat marinated brinjals into this suji mixture properly by pressing, so that it sticks to brinjal slices
  6. Heat some oil on tawa and keep suji coated brinjal slices on it
  7. Shallow fry till golden brown and crisp from both sides.
  8. Garnish with coriander and it's ready to munch
