Ingredients to make Vegetable oats upma | Fibre rich breakfast

  • Oats – 1.5 cup/ 250 gms
  • Chopped vegetables (Beans Carrots Beet root Onion) – 1 cup
  • Chopped Tomatoes – 2 medium size
  • Curry leaves – a few
  • Mustard seeds – ½ tsp
  • Cumin seeds – 1 tsp
  • Salt – 1 tsp
  • Lemon juice – 1 tsp

Steps to make Vegetable oats upma | Fibre rich breakfast

  1. Heat 1 tsp oil in a kadai, splutter cumin seeds, curry leaves. Sauté vegetables and tomatoes.
  2. Add oats and mix well. Add 3 cups or double the quantity of water. Cook for 10 minutes till the water evaporates.
  3. Once ready, add lemon juice and serve hot for breakfast.
