Pumpkin Payasam

Ingredients to make Pumpkin Payasam

  • pumpkin puree (pumpkin blend in blender)-1 cup
  • Milk -2 cup
  • sugar -1/3 cup
  • Payasam (vermicelli)-1/3 cup
  • Mix dry fruits (cashew, almonds, raisins,makhaane, chironji)
  • ghee -2-3 tbs
  • Chopped pistachios (for garnish)
  • cardamom powder -1/2 tsp

How to make Pumpkin Payasam

  1. Take a pan and add 1/4 tsp of ghee and Roast cashew, Chironji, almonds, raisins on low flame
  2. Now take out in a bowl and then add makhaane and roast for 2-3 minutes
  3. All dry fruits keep in bowl and keep a side
  4. Now add remaining ghee in that pan and add pumpkin puree
  5. Now mix it properly and cover it & cook for 8-10 minutes on low flame
  6. Now Crushed the dry fruits coarsely
  7. Like this
  8. After 10 minutes add milk and stir for 2 minutes
  9. Then add vermicelli,sugar and stri for 1 minute and cook on low flame for 15-20 minutes
  10. After 15 minutes add dry fruits and switch off the gas
  11. Atlast add Cardamom powder and garnish with Chopped pistachios & roasted dry fruits...serve hot

My Tip:

You can adjust the sugar according to your taste but i think it's perfect
