ABOUT Sliced Brinjal RECIPE

My mother makes this and i have learnt it from her. This is very tasty.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Bharta baingan 1 big
  2. Ginger paste 1 tsp
  3. Garlic paste 2 tsp
  4. Green chillies paste 1-2 tsp( according to our taste)
  5. Coriander leaves 1.5 cups
  6. Salt to taste
  7. Haldi powder 1/2 tsp
  8. Coriander powder 1.5 tsp
  9. Kashmiri red chilli powder 1tsp
  10. Oil as required
  11. Juice of one lemon

Instructions

  1. Make homogeneous paste from above ingredients except the baingan lemon juice
  2. Cut the barta baingan into slices and make small marks on the surface of the slices
  3. Apply the paste made on each slice of the baingan and let it marinate for 10-15 mins. Keep the plate in which the slices are kept a bit slanting for extra water part to drip down.
  4. Cook the slices by placing some oil in a non stick pan till they are soft. Flip both the sides and cook. The cooked slices are delicate to handle so couldn't do any plating have directly taken picture from the pan. Add lemon juice on the slices after they are cooked and enjoy it with rotis.
