Ingredients to make Twinkies

  • 1 cup maida or wheat flour
  • 1/2 cup sugar powder
  • 1/2 cup milk powder
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/2 cup chilled soda water
  • 6 drops of vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp soda (sodium bicarbonate)
  • 1/4 cup milk

How to make Twinkies

  1. Start by taking the maida, baking powder and soda in a bowl. Mix it well and keep it aside.
  2. Now take a deep bowl and add the milk powder, sugar, vegetable oil and milk. Mix well and beat it properly till the sugar dissolves.
  3. Now add the maida mixture and soda water, just fold in the milk powder batter. (Do not over beat this mixture.)
  4. Next add vanilla extract and mix it well. For the batter pouring consistency, we can add a little more milk or soda water.
  5. Preheat the oven for 7 mins on 200 degrees celsius. Also prepare the tins with the help of foil paper and a box.
  6. Pour the batter in these tins and bake them for 15 mins.
  7. Take a toothpick and make a hole in the twinkies. Now take the melted chocolate in a piping bag and fill the chocolate in these holes.
  8. Serve hot or cold as desired.
