A delightful soup dish that is perfect to warm you on a cold winter day.

Mushroom Soup

Ingredients to make Mushroom Soup

  • 250 grams mushrooms
  • 3 tbsp flour
  • 1 small sized onion finely chopped
  • 500 ml chicken/veg broth
  • 250 ml milk/cream
  • 2-3 garlic cloves finely grated
  • 1/2 tsp nutmeg
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • Salt and pepper to taste

How to make Mushroom Soup

  1. Wash and cut the mushrooms into slices.
  2. Take a pan/pot, put in the butter. Once the butter melts, add in the onions, garlic, and mushrooms. Let it cook till the onions become tender.
  3. Add in the flour and stir well. Then pour in the chicken broth and continue stirring while the soup thickens.
  4. Stir in the cream and adjust the salt and pepper as per taste. Bring it to a boil as it thickens and continue stirring frequently.
  5. Serve hot with a garnish of bread crumbs and grated nutmeg sprinkled on top.
