Delicious bhindi recipe which is often made at home and all time favorite and easy to make spicy north indian bhindi.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. Lady Finger 200 gms
  2. Oil to deep fry
  3. Hing a pinch
  4. Ginger 1 inch
  5. Garlic 6-7 cloves
  6. Green Chilli 2
  7. Onion 1
  8. Tomato 1
  9. Red chilli powder 1 1/2 tsp
  10. Turmeric powder 1/4 tsp
  11. Coriander powder 2 1/2 tsp
  12. Garam masala powder 1 tsp
  13. Salt
  14. Cilantro

Instructions

  1. Heat a kadhai and add oil to deep fry bhindi
  2. Once oil is hot, add bhindi which is washed and cut with slits. Remove it on paper napkin draining the excess oil.
  3. In same kadhai, adjust the oil as required and add hing, then add crushed Ginger garlic and green chilli. Saute till the raw aroma disappears.
  4. Add chopped onions fry them till they are golden brown. Then, add chopped tomatoes and let it cook till they are mushy and soft.
  5. Now, add all the dry spices and if the mixture becomes dry add little water and continue to cook. You don't need to cover the pan and cook, it's done in an open pan. saute well
  6. When the masala is in right consistency and cooked, add the fried bhindi and mix well till the masala is coated well. Cook for more 5-7 mins
  7. Sprinkle garam masala and garnish with cilantro and ready to serve with roti or dal rice.
