Eggnog

Ingredients to make Eggnog

  • 4 cups Milk
  • 4 cups Cream
  • 2 1/2 cups Rum
  • 1 1/2 cup Sugar
  • 12 Egg yolks
  • 2 tsp + 1/2 tsp Vanilla essence
  • 1 tsp Nutemeg grounded
  • 1 tsp Cinnamon
  • 5 cloves

How to make Eggnog

  1. Heat a saucepan, add milk, cloves, cinnamon and 1/2 tsp Vanilla essence. Bring this to boil over low heat.
  2. Mix the egg yolks, sugar in a bowl, whisk well until it becomes fluffy.
  3. Add the hot milk mixture into the bowl. Now transfer this back to the saucepan.
  4. Cook over medium heat for 2-3 mins until it becomes thick. Let this boil then remove from heat and cool.
  5. Add the cream, rum vanilla essence and nutmeg, stir well.
  6. Refrigerate over night and serve the next day
