Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. 1 cup grated white pumpkin
  2. 1 tbsp chickpea flour
  3. 1 tbsp wheat flour
  4. 1 tbsp semolina
  5. 1 tsp lemon juice
  6. 1 tbsp finely chopped fresh coriander leaves
  7. 1 tsp red chilli powder
  8. 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  9. 1/2 tsp sugar (optional)
  10. Salt to taste
  11. For potato frosting :- 2 boiled and grated potatoes
  12. 1/2 tsp butter
  13. 1/2 tsp oregano
  14. 1/2 tsp chilli flakes
  15. 1/8 tsp black pepper powder
  16. Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Firstly peel the pumpkin.
  2. Now grate the pumpkin.
  3. Squeeze it as much as possible can.
  4. Now add chickpea flour, wheat flour, semolina.
  5. Add all the masala .
  6. Mix it well.
  7. Now grease your palm with little oil and and give  cylindrical shape.
  8. Arrange it on a greased plate and steam it for 15 minutes. Check by insert a knife or toothpick if i comes out clean then it is done.
  9. Remove it another plate and let it cool completely. Then make thin slices.
  10. For potato frosting : - grate the boiled potatoes.
  11. Add all the masala.
  12. Fill in icing bag with star nozzle.
  13. To serve : - arrange the gattas on a platter pipe out the potato frosting .
  14. Bake for 10 minutes at 180 degree.
  15. Garnish with some chopped coriander leaves and sweet chutney. Serve hot with your favorite chutney.
