ABOUT ONION TOMATO CHUTNEY RECIPE

This delicious south Indian onion tomato chutney pairs well with idly and dosa.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. 1 big onion
  2. 2 Tomatos
  3. 5 to 6 dry red Chili's
  4. 1 tsp channa dal
  5. 1 1/2 tsp urad dal
  6. 2 garlic cloves
  7. 1 tsp oil
  8. 1/2 tsp mustard seeds
  9. Few c

Instructions

  1. Chop onions and tomato's into cubes.
  2. Heat oil in a pan and roast Channa dal and urad day. Once it turns golden brown, add garlic and Red chilli's
  3. Add onions and fry it for 2 mins
  4. Add tomatoes and continue frying
  5. Fry till tomatos gets soft
  6. Add everything in a blenderwith salt
  7. Grind it to nice paste. Splutter with mustard seeds, urad dal and Curry leaves. Enjoy with got idlies:blush:
