Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. Gingerly oil 2 tbsp
  2. Mustard seeds for tempering - 1 tsp
  3. Cumin seeds - 1 tsp
  4. Fenugreek seeds - 1/2 tsp
  5. Turmeric Powder - 1/2 tsp
  6. Hing [asafoetida] - 1/4 th tsp
  7. Sambar powder - 2 tbsp
  8. curry leaves - 10
  9. Coriander leaves
  10. Ghee 1 tsp
  11. Salt
  12. 2 green chillies
  13. 2 medium size onion
  14. 6 garlic pods
  15. 2 carrot
  16. 10 - 15 Broad beans
  17. 1 potato
  18. 2 tomato
  19. peas - 1/8 th cup
  20. 1 Capsicum
  21. 2 Radish
  22. Tamrarind lemon size
  23. Raw rice 1 cup
  24. Tur dal 1/2 cup

Instructions

  1. First soak Lemon size Tamarind. Always use old tamarind which is healthy
  2. Take 1 cup Raw rice and 1/2 cup Tur dal and rinse it 4-5 times and soak it in drinking water
  3. Cut Required Vegetables
  4. Add Gingerly oil. When the oil is hot add Mustard. When Mustard splutter add Jeera and Methi
  5. Add 2 sliced onions , green chillies and curry leaves
  6. Fry them and add 6 garlic pods. Fry until they are cooked properly
  7. Now add Carrot, Broad Beans, Radish, Peas, Capsicum, Potato and Tomato. Saute them for few mins
  8. Get tamarind extract and add it to the veggies
  9. Add 2 TSP salt, turmeric powder and hing and boil for few mins
  10. Now add 2 tbsp sambar powder and boil it.
  11. Add soaked Rice and dal. Add 3 cups of water
  12. Add handful of coriander leaves
  13. Pressure cook for 5 whistles
  14. Add Ghee after presure releases
  15. Mix well and serve hot with fryms
