ABOUT Pav bhaji RECIPE

Its a fabulous homemade bhaji served with masala pav. It can be treated healthy as it contains many vegetables.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 6 Boiled potatoes (medium size) mashed
  2. 100g green peas boiled
  3. 1 grated beetroot
  4. 2 tomatoes grated
  5. 3 onions grated
  6. 1 green capsicum finely chopped
  7. 2 tbsp ginger garlic paste
  8. 2 spoon oil
  9. Salt as per taste
  10. 2 tbsp pav bhaji masala
  11. 1 tbsp garam masala
  12. 2 tsp chilli powder
  13. 1 tsp turmeric powder
  14. 1 tsp coriander powder
  15. 1 tbsp malai
  16. 1 tbsp lime juice
  17. 1 tbsp chopped coriander
  18. 8 pav
  19. Butter

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a hollow pan.
  2. Add jeera. When they splutter ,add ginger garlic paste. Saute for a minute.
  3. Now add capsicum, onion and tomatoes. After 5 minutes when tomatoes soften, add beetroot. Saute till tomatoes leave it's sweetness or oil losses out i.e 10 minutes.
  4. In a plate ,add malai, all masalas and pour this mixture in the sauteed onions and tomatoes. Add little water and saute the mixture for about 2-3 minutes.( Can adjust the quantity of spices as per taste.)
  5. Now add boiled potatoes and peas. Add water to make it little liquidy. Boil the mixture for about 5 minutes.
  6. 6. Add lime juice and coriander.
  7. In a tawa, add butter and sprinkle some masala. Toast the pav on both the sides and serve with chopped onions and lemon slices.
