ABOUT Badami paneer masala RECIPE

Navratra special!! It is again a no onion garlic receipe which is ideal for festive seasons. You will simply love the soft and delicious restaurant style dish. The scrumptious almond based gravy is colourful because of the addition of tomatoes and bell peppers. Subtle spices are used to enhance the aroma of the dish.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Paneer 250 gms
  2. Capsicum 1 in cubes
  3. Almonds (Badam) 20 pcs
  4. Sesame 1 tbsp
  5. Magaj 1 tbsp
  6. Green cardamoms 2, black cardamom 1,cloves 6,Cinnamon 1 inch)
  7. Grated ginger 1 tsp
  8. Tomato puree 1/2 cup
  9. Green chillies 2
  10. Coconut powder 1 tbsp
  11. Ghee /Butter 1 tbsp
  12. Refined oil 1 tbsp
  13. Turmeric powder 1 tsp
  14. black pepper powder 1 tsp
  15. Salt to taste
  16. Sugar 1/2 tsp
  17. Milk 1 cup
  18. FRESH CREAM 2 TBSP
  19. Kasuri methi 1 tsp
  20. Coriander leaves

Instructions

  1. Keep ready all the ingredients like (almonds, whole spices, Magaj, sesame coarsely grinded) & (tomato+chilli paste)
  2. Cut the paneer in finger shape and capsicum cubed.
  3. Fry Paneer and capsicum separately in ghee or butter.
  4. Take out Paneer in a bowl add half cup of water and salt.
  5. Heat oil in a pan add cumin seeds, hing once they splutter put the tomato chilli paste and grated ginger in it. Saute for 3-4 mins in full flame.
  6. Now add almond paste in it and mix well for 2-3 mins. After that add milk and fresh cream in it. Also add turmeric, salt, black pepper powder, kasuri methi.
  7. Time to add 1/2 cup of water and simmer. Then put fried capsicum and coconut powder.
  8. Follow step by step pictures below in collage.
  9. Now place fried paneer in the masala. Mix them gently. Add some water acc to your need. Cook it on high flame.
  10. Switch off the flame Sprinkle Coriander leaves and cover the lid for few more minutes till you get the desired curry consistency. It should be semi thick gravy.
  11. Ready to be served with rotis, puri, naan, paratha or simple veg pulav.
