Ingredients to make Spicy Quinoa Cutlets~Indian style

  • Quinoa- 1 cup
  • Carrot- ¼ cup, diced
  • Yellow bell pepper- ¼ cup, diced
  • Red bell pepper- ¼ cup, diced
  • Green peas- ¼ cup, boiled
  • Ginger- garlic paste- 1/ 2 tsp
  • Garam masala-1 tsp
  • Green chilli- 1 sliced
  • Coriander leaves- ¼ cup, chopped
  • Onion- 1 medium, chopped
  • Oil for frying
  • Salt and red chilli powder to taste
  • Breadscrumbs- 2 cups
  • For the batter-
  • Plain flour- 1/2 cup
  • Water- 1 cup

How to make Spicy Quinoa Cutlets~Indian style

  1. Cook Quinoa in 2 cups water for 15 minutes till fluffy. You can also cook according to package instructions.Let cool.
  2. In a large bowl add Quinoa, add peas, bell peppers, carrots, ginger garlic paste, onion, chilli, garam masala and coriander. Season and mix well.
  3. Make a batter of flour and water.Season with salt and pepper.
  4. Spread out breadcrumbs on a large plate.
  5. Shape the quinoa into patties/cutlets, dip in the flour batter and coat lightly with breadcrumbs.Repeat till all the quinoa mixture is used up.
  6. Heat oil for shallow frying till moderately hot. Pan fry all the cutlets till golden
