Methi Malai Matar

Ingredients to make Methi Malai Matar

  • 1.5 cup Peas boiled
  • 1/2 cup Milk
  • 1/2 cup Cream
  • 1 onion chopped
  • 4-6 Cashewnuts
  • 1/2 '' inch Cinnamon stick
  • 2 big Cardamoms
  • 3-4 cloves
  • 2 tbsp Oil
  • 4 tbsp Dried fenugreek leaves
  • 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1/2 tsp White pepper
  • Salt to taste

How to make Methi Malai Matar

  1. Grind cinnamon, cardamoms and cloves together. Keep them aside
  2. Heat oil in a vessel, add chopped onions. Cook till golden brown.
  3. Add mixture to the onion and cook for another few seconds.
  4. Add cream and cook at low flame for 2-3 minutes.
  5. Grind cashew nut and add it to the gravy.
  6. Add boiled peas and cook for 5 minutes.
  7. Add milk , sugar , salt, red chilli powder and fenugreek leaves. Cook for 4-5 minutes more.
  8. Garnish it with cashew nuts and serve hot.
