ABOUT Palak Matar RECIPE

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. 200 gm spinach
  2. 1 Onion chopped finely
  3. 2 large potatoes boiled
  4. 1 cup Peas boiled
  5. 1-2 Tomatoes, chopped
  6. 1-2 Green chillies
  7. 2-3 tbsp oil
  8. 1 tsp Lemon juice
  9. 1 tsp jeera
  10. 1 tsp tsp coriander powder
  11. 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  12. 1/2 tsp red chilli powder
  13. 1/2 tsp Cumin powder
  14. 1/2 tsp garlic paste
  15. Coriander for garnishing
  16. Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat some oil in a pan, add jeera. When jeera starts popping, add onion and fry till golden brown.
  2. Next add the garlic paste, chopped tomatoes, green chillies and stir fry.
  3. Add the spinach and let it cook for sometime. Stir ocassionaly in between.
  4. Add potatoes and peas along with all the powder masalas and cook it for 10 mins. Add some water if it dries too quickly.
  5. Serve it hot by pouring the lemon juice on top with rice/rotis.
