Ingredients to make Crispy chicken with crackling spinach

  • Chicken 1/2 kg (boneless)
  • Ginger garlic paste 2 tsp
  • Chilli powder 1 tbsp
  • Salt according to taste
  • Cornflour 2 tbsp
  • White onions 2, small
  • Garlic cloves 2, crushed
  • Hot and sweet sauce 1 tsp
  • Oyster sauce 1 tsp
  • 1 tbsp kashmir chilli paste
  • Spinach 1 stalk
  • Cold water 1 cup
  • Honey 2 tsp
  • Sugar 1 tsp
  • Oil for frying 2 cups and for marinating 1 tsp
  • Sesame seeds toasted 1 tbsp
  • Pepper powder 1 tsp

How to make Crispy chicken with crackling spinach

  1. First of all wash chicken and cut into long strips.
  2. Marinate the chicken with ginger garlic paste, chilli powder, salt, cornflour and a little oil, mix well and keep in the fridge for approximately 2 hours.
  3. Later in a pan take some oil, add finely chopped white onions and add garlic crushed and saute.
  4. Add hot and sweet sauce and oyster sauce.
  5. Add pepper powder and a teaspoon of Kashmir chilli paste and saute till the raw smell goes.
  6. Deep fry the chicken pieces till crispy and keep aside.
  7. Take a big bunch of spinach chop off the stalks. Wash well and keep for a while in ice cold water. For 10 minutes. Pat, dry and chop coarsely.
  8. Fry them and drain on a tissue paper. Sprinkle with salt and sugar and let it cool for a bit. It will become crispy.
  9. Finally before serving, add chicken to the sauce and give it a nice toss and stir.
  10. Drizzle some honey over the chicken and sprinkle some toast sesame seeds.
