Burnt Garlic and Spinach Rice

Ingredients to make Burnt Garlic and Spinach Rice

  • Rice - 1 cup (A mix of white and Brown) pre cooked
  • Garlic cloves 8-10 finely chopped
  • Mushroom -6 sliced
  • Spinach - 200gms
  • Oil- 2 tablespoon
  • Lime juice- 1 table spoon
  • Soy sauce 1.5 teaspoon
  • salt as per taste

How to make Burnt Garlic and Spinach Rice

  1. Start by heat oil in a wok. Get it smoking hot. Then add the dry red chillies and the garlic cloves. Sauté till the cloves turn bro wish but they should not burn. Turn the heat down.
  2. Once the garlic is cooked add the mushroom and continue to sauté till it turns soft.
  3. Now add the spinach and crank up the heat so that the water released by the spinach dries up fast.
  4. Once the spinach wilts, add the rice and the soy sauce lime juice and salt and mix well and let it stand for about 5 minutes before serving.
