Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Boiled potato medium sized 8
  2. Long capsicum 4-5
  3. Asoefetida 1/4 tsp
  4. Fennel seeds 1/2 tsp
  5. Mustard seeds 1/4 tsp
  6. Cumin seeds 1/4 tsp
  7. Turmeric pwd 1/4 tsp
  8. Coriander pwd 1/2 tsp
  9. Salt to taste
  10. Oil to cook

Instructions

  1. First of all split the chillies and remove the seeds out of it as we do for any stuff vegetable.
  2. Mash the boiled potatoes .
  3. Take the pan and pour 2 tbsp oil to fry the filling of chilly
  4. Now add mustard seeds, cumin seeds and fennel seeds till it cracks.
  5. Now add asoefetida and the rest dry spices with mashed potatoes . Add salt to taste.
  6. Keep stirring the filling until it leaves the pan itself.
  7. When the filling cools down carefully fill the chillies with spoon.
  8. Again take a deep fry pan and add oil in it.
  9. Add few fennel seeds and a pinch of asaefotida . Now set the chillies likewise the stuffed portion should be downwards .
  10. Close the lid and let the chillies cooked on a low flame.
  11. When the filling turns golden brown in color turn the chillies gently to the other side and let it cook again on low flame with the lid closed.
  12. Bharwa mircha is ready to eat
