ABOUT Bottle Gourd Ice-cream RECIPE

Bottle Gourd has a high content of water and thus it is good to eat in summer. Although, children don't like to it easily but if we do ice-cream they will definitely love it.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 1 cup chopped bottle gourd
  2. 3/4 cup jaggery
  3. 1 cup coconut milk
  4. Handful dry fruits
  5. 1/2 cup water
  6. 1 tea spoon ghee

Instructions

  1. Heat the water.
  2. Add the chopped bottle gourd in it.
  3. Cook it till the bottle gourd is completely cooked.
  4. Now add 1 tsp ghee and jaggery, mix well.
  5. Grain the grated coconut and take the milk of that. Add it into the boiled bottle gourd.
  6. Let it be boil 2 minutes.
  7. Once cooled, blend the mixture in a blender.
  8. Transfer it in air-tight box and store in freezer nearly 4-5 hours.
  9. Again blend in blender by adding few dry fruits and transfer to the air-tight box,store in freezer nearly 4-5 hours.
  10. Serve the yummy ice-cream in chilly by decorative dry fruits.

Regular milk will do if coconut milk is not there
