Ingredients to make Pineapple Upside Down Cake

  • Pineapple slices can - 1
  • Cherries - 50 gm
  • All purpose flour - 1 1/2 cups
  • Castor Sugar - 3/4 cup
  • Pineapple Syrup from Can- 1/2 cup
  • Vanilla Essence - 2 tbsp
  • Oil - 1 tbsp
  • Baking Powder - 1/2 tbsp
  • Baking Soda- 1/2 tbsp
  • Butter- 2 tbsp

How to make Pineapple Upside Down Cake

  1. Take a baking tin and spread 2 tbsp of butter and 1 tbsp of castor sugar on it.
  2. Place the half cut pineapple from the can in it and fill the gap with tutty fruity or cherries.
  3. Now for the batter, Mix one tbsp oil, with vanilla essence and pineapple syrup in a bowl .
  4. Sieve the flour, castor sugar, baking powder and baking soda and now add the oil mixture in it. Mix well until it makes a consistency.
  5. Preheat the oven at 150 deg temperature for 5 - 7 minutes
  6. Add the pineapple chunks in the batter. Grease the baking tin from sides also and pour the batter by big spoon or carefully on the placed pineapples.
  7. Bake the cake at 160 deg temperature for 25 minutes and check it with a stick. If required bake it more.
  8. Take out the tin from oven and let it be cool for 15 minutes
  9. Serve it upside down so that pineapple slices comes outside.
