Matar ki sabzi

Ingredients to make Matar ki sabzi

  • 450 grams green peas, fresh
  • 2 dry red chillies
  • 1 tsp cumin seeds
  • 1/8 tsp asafoetida
  • 1 tsp mango powder
  • 1 tsp chaat masala
  • 2 tbsp Oil
  • Salt to taste

How to make Matar ki sabzi

  1. Wash the green peas and leave it aside to drain.
  2. Heat oil in a kadai/pan, once the oil is hot, add the asafoetida, cumin seeds and dry red chillies. Once the seeds start to splutter, add the green peas and salt to taste.
  3. Stir well so that the peas get coated well with the masalas, then cover and simmer till the peas are cooked through.
  4. Next, add the chaat masala and mango powder and stir to mix it well.
  5. Serve it hot alongside rotis.
