ABOUT Chilli con carne RECIPE

A vegetarian dish made with slow cooked beans and vegetables

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. 300g Kidney Beans
  2. 6 Tomatoes
  3. 2 Potatoes
  4. 1 Onion, chopped
  5. 2 garlic cloves
  6. 2 tbsp olive oil
  7. 2 tbsp Tomato puree
  8. 2 tbsp Flour2 tsp Chilli powder
  9. 1 tsp Ground Cumin
  10. 1 tsp Coriander powder
  11. 1 Cup water

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a saucepan, add the onion and garlic. Salute till it becomes translucent and soft.
  2. Add the cumin powder, coriander powder, flour and chilli powder.
  3. Add the tomato puree, tomatoes, potatoes and beans along with salt, mix well for a min.
  4. Now add water and bring this to boil, reduce heat and cook for 1 hour.
  5. Garnish and serve hot with bread on the side.
