About Makhanwala Paneer Recipe

A buttery paneer dish that is very beautiful to look at and lip smacking good.

Makhanwala Paneer

Ingredients to make Makhanwala Paneer

  • 250 gms paneer
  • 150 gms tomato puree
  • 200 gms fresh cream
  • 1 tsp red chilli powder
  • 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1/2 tsp garam masala powder
  • 2 tbsp dried fenugreek leaves
  • 2-3 tbsp butter
  • salt as per taste

How to make Makhanwala Paneer

  1. Take a pan and melt in the butter, add the fenugreek leaves, tomato puree,turmeric powder and red chilli powder. Stir well, then let it simmer and cook for 4-5 minutes.
  2. Next pour in the cream and garam masala powder, and cook it further for 2-3 minutes.
  3. Add in the paneer pieces along with salt to taste and cook it for a few minutes.
  4. Serve this dish hot garnished with a few coriander leaves.

Nice recipe. It's actually a pretty easy restaurant style paneer dish. I have one question though. When you stay tomato puree you mean the puree that we get from market or just a homemade puree of tomatoes. I made this dish with canned tomato puree. The dish that came out was on the sour side. So added a little bit of sugar to balance it out.

aap home tomatoes puree use kar sakti hai but tomatoes ko de-seeds aur blanch karne ke baad. ....

I never thought this dish would be so easy to make with just a few ingredients. Thanks for sharing. Can we just roast the paneer a little before adding coz I don't like the taste of raw paneer?

u can roast the paneer a bit but not much, otherwise it will loose its creamy texture
