ABOUT Matzo with Mallacan Flavors RECIPE

Matzo is a traditional passover dish and this has an Asian twist to it!A very crispy snack that goes well with tea / coffee.

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. Whole wheat flour - 1/2 cup
  2. Salt to taste
  3. Sprig Mallacan SpiceBlend - 3 tablespoons
  4. Water to knead the dough
  5. Oil - 3 teaspoos + 3 tablespoons

Instructions

  1. Take the flour,3 teaspoons oil, salt in a bowl and mix well. Add water little by little and knead to a smooth dough. [Knead for at least 5 minutes.
  2. Mix 3 tablespoons oil with the spice mix and keep aside
  3. Divide the dough into 5 portions and roll out as thinly as possible into an oval shape. Prick holes with a fork and transfer to a greased baking tray
  4. Spread a generous portion of the oil and spice mix blend over the matzo and bake in a pre heated oven @180 degree C for 10- 12 minutes
  5. Flip it over and cook for another 4-5 minutes. The matzo should have brown spots on both sides
  6. Remove from oven and transfer to a cooling rack. It will not be crisp while hot. Once it cools down, it will turn crisp.So don't be tempted to over bake it
  7. Repeat the same process for the rest of the dough balls.
  8. Serve the crisp Matzo with a cup of tea / coffee
