About Shahi Tukhda Recipe

Tasty ghee roasted bread with rabdi and dry fruits.

Shahi Tukhda

Ingredients to make Shahi Tukhda

  • sugar 1 cup
  • MIlk 2 cup
  • chopped & ghee roasted pista( garnish)
  • chopped & ghee roasted almonds(garnish)
  • saffron two pinches
  • Bread 8 slices
  • ghee 1 cup
  • Milkmaid 2 table spoons
  • Nutella 2 tspoons

How to make Shahi Tukhda

  1. Take one vessel, add milk and keep it to boil on medium flame, cook it until it becomes half the initial quantity.
  2. Add milkmaid to this milk
  3. Add sugar,saffron to this mixture for 5 more minutes.
  4. Now add the ghee roasted almonds and pista to this rabdi and keep it aside.
  5. Now take the bread slices, cut out the brown edges of the slices and now cut the slices diagonally.
  6. Shallow fry the bread slices in ghee, fry until its golden brown.
  7. Take the fried bread slices in a serving plate and pour the rabdi on it. Wait for 5 minutes until bread soaks the rabdi. Shahi tukhda is ready to eat.
  8. Optional additional step for the chocolate lovers. Pour nutella on the slices along with rabdi for ur chocolate cravings

My Tip:

Shallow fry the slices or you can just apply ghee both the sides and roast it over a pan like toasting the slices
