ABOUT Boondi Laddoos RECIPE

These laddoo have a speciality that they can be store up to 7 days or more. They are perfect for gifting when you visit your relative or they visit you. Also it requires less time so can be easily prepared on Festivals also.

Ingredients Serving: 10

  1. For making Boondis :
  2. 1 Cup GramFlour
  3. A pinch of Baking soda
  4. 1/4. tsp Orange food Colour ( mix red with yellow if you don’t have)
  5. Water as per the requirement
  6. Oil for deep frying Boondi
  7. For Sugar Syrup :
  8. 1 Cup Sugar
  9. 1/4 Cup Water
  10. 1/2 lemon juice
  11. 1/4 tsp Orange food colour
  12. 1/4 Cup milk
  13. 1/2 tsp Cardamom powder
  14. 1/4 Chopped Nuts

Instructions

  1. In a Large mixing bowl sieve Gram flour and baking soda
  2. Add orange food colour and mix it
  3. Now add water into it so that it will become a smooth flowing batter
  4. Heat oil in a kadhai and with the help of a fine grater start making Boondis
  5. Take batter in a cup and pour it through the grated into the kadhai , tap the grater and fry the Boondis
  6. Repeat this for rest of the batter
  7. Heat another heavy bottomed flat saucepan
  8. Add sugar and water , boil it till you get one sting consistency
  9. Switch off the flame
  10. Now add lemon juice into sugar syrup
  11. Add oranger food colour, cardamom powder
  12. Mix them and add Boondis into it . Give them a good mix
  13. Now take out half portion and blend them into a coarse powder
  14. Now add the powder into Sweet Boondis
  15. Add chopped nuts, milk and mix them
  16. Now start making medium sized Laddoos with greased hands.
