ABOUT Quick Amla pickle RECIPE

I have been buying amla every week to make pickle. Since it involves steaming process most of the time it is getting wasted. When i was craving for amla pickle, i tried this recipe. It was a big hit. It goes well with dal rice and curd rice.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Amla 14-16
  2. Sesame oil 1 tbsp
  3. Salt 1 tsp
  4. Red chilli powder 1 tsp
  5. Hing

Instructions

  1. RINSE AND DRY AMLA
  2. HEAT 1 TBSP SESAME OIL. ADD AMLA
  3. USE A SPOON AND COAT AMLA WITH OIL
  4. USE A LID TO COOK AMLA. COOK ON LOW FLAME FOR 10 MINUTES
  5. CHECK FOR CRACKS IN AMLA IF IT IS PROPERLY COOKED
  6. ADD 1 TSP SALT, RED CHILLY POWDER AND HING. SAUTE WELL
  7. COVER WITH A LID TO COOK FOR FEW MINUTES
  8. CHECK IF AMLAS ARE COOKED PROPERLY
  9. COOL THE MIXTURE AND STORE IT IN A GLASS CONTAINER
