ABOUT Dry Fruit Stuffed Singhara Fritters RECIPE

Its a very tasty and healthy option to energise in fasting days. Its stuffing give it a heavenly taste.

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. For outer covering :
  2. 1 cup Boiled mashed potatoes
  3. 1/2 cup Singhara Flour
  4. Salt to taste (use Sendha namak- Himalayan salt if fasting)
  5. 1 chopped green chilly
  6. For Filling:
  7. 1/2 cup shredded coconut
  8. Handful of Sliced almonds
  9. 3 tablespoons raisin
  10. For toppings:
  11. 1 cup Beaten Curd (yogurt)
  12. 3/4 cup Vrat ki Tamarind chutney
  13. Pomegranate kernels
  14. Ghee for frying

Instructions

  1. First mix all ingredients of outer layer. Make a soft dough. Dough should not feel sticky at all. If it feels sticky add an extra teaspoon of flour and form a smooth dough. Cover and set it aside.
  2. In a bowl combine all the ingredients listed under 'For filling'.Mix it well.
  3. Meanwhile, flatten the fritters dough.Place a teaspoon of filing in the center .
  4. Now fold over the other end and seal fritters from all the sides. Repeat process with remaining dough and form fritters.
  5. Heat ghee . Fry all fritters . Cook until crispy and light brown in color.
  6. Beat curd and season with salt and pomegranate kernels.
  7. Arrange fritters on a plate.Generously drizzle curd on top.Pour tamarind chutney and enjoy immediately.
