Ragi has more nutritional benefits. Including Ragi in our diet is more important. This is an easy recipe which will make our kids fall in love with Ragi. We can engage our kids preparing roti.

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. Ragi 500 gms
  2. Water 2 cup
  3. Salt required
  4. Onion finely chopped
  5. Ginger minced
  6. Green chillies 1
  7. Oil for greasing
  8. Curry leaves
  9. Coriander leaves

Instructions

  1. Boil 2 cups of water with salt for 2 minutes
  2. Add Ragi flour in Luke warm water.
  3. Add finely chopped onion, green chillies and minced Ginger. Mix well
  4. Add curry leaves and coriander leaves. Mix well
  5. If the mixture is soggy add Rice flour
  6. You should be able to make a ball with the mixture. Rest for 5 minutes
  7. Take a banana leaf. Grease with oil
  8. Grease you hands. Make a ball and place it on the greased leaf and start spreading
  9. Make a hole in the middle
  10. Place it on griddle
  11. Slowly remove the Banana leaf
  12. Similarily make more rotis
  13. Flip on both sides to cook
  14. Serve with coconut chutney
