Ingredients to make Banda ke kade channe

  • 200 grams kala channa
  • 4 tablespoons mustard oil
  • 4 cloves garlic
  • 1 teaspoon finely chopped ginger
  • 1 teaspoon finely chopped green chillies
  • 1/2 tablespoon cumin seeds
  • garam masala according to taste
  • Salt according to taste
  • red chilli powder as spicy as you'd like it to be

How to make Banda ke kade channe

  1. heat mustard oil in a wok
  2. add cumin seeds. let them crackle
  3. add chopped ginger, garlic, green chillies
  4. the channa needs soaking a day before.
  5. add the pre-soaked channa, salt, red chilli powder, garam masala
  6. it needs to be cooked on low flame all through.
  7. let it slowly roast/ fry for about an hour or a little above.
  8. enjoy hot with tea.
