ABOUT Spicy Pudina Pulao RECIPE

Pulao prepared with barnyard millets with flavor of mint, coconut and other ingredients is like a treat for the taste buds. No onion, garlic used, it can be served during Navratras.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Barnyard millet 1/2 cup
  2. Mint leaves 1/2 cup
  3. Coriander leaves 1/2 cup
  4. 1 tablespoon coconut (dessicated)
  5. Ginger 1 inch piece
  6. Curd 1 teaspoon
  7. Water 1.5 cup
  8. Ghee 1 tablespoon
  9. Cumin seeds 1 teaspoon
  10. Red Chilli powder 1/2 teaspoon
  11. Salt ( to taste)
  12. Pomegranate pearls (for garnishing)

Instructions

  1. Wash mint and coriander leaves.
  2. Take mint leaves, coriander leaves, coconut and ginger.
  3. Grind it in mixer with curd and 1 tablespoon water.
  4. Heat a pan. Add ghee.
  5. Add cumin seeds.
  6. Add the green paste and saute.
  7. Add salt and red chilli powder.
  8. Wash barnyard millets
  9. Add millets to the paste and mix well.
  10. Add remaining water and cook it till it gets cooked.
  11. Garnish with pomegranate pearls.
