ABOUT Sabudana Rasgulla RECIPE

It is an awesome treat while you are fasting. The way i have prepared it results in the awesome texture which is too good when chewing it

Ingredients Serving: 9

  1. 2 cup whole cow milk
  2. 1tsp citric acid
  3. 2 cups water + 1 tbsp water
  4. 1 cups sugar
  5. 1 tsp milk
  6. 1/2 tsp sabudana powder ( grinded sabudana)
  7. 1 tsp rose water
  8. 2-3 saffron strands

Instructions

  1. Take milk in a pan and bring it to a boil. Mix citric acid with 1 tbsp water till dissolves properly.
  2. Now add it into the milk and keep on stiring the milk
  3. When milk starts boiling lower the flame.
  4. Gradually the milk will start curdling, switch off the flame and let it curdle completely
  5. Now pour the curdled milk into a muslin cloth and wash it under running water. Now squeeze the muslin cloth properly. Hung it onto kitchen sink tap for 10 minutes.
  6. Now transfer it into a grinder and add sabudana powder and give it 2-3 grinds.
  7. Now divide it into equal portions and make the balls. Repeat it for the complete mixture and cover them with a wet cloth.
  8. In a pressure cooker add 4 cup water and 2 cups sugar. Heat this mixture and bring it to a boil and add milk.
  9. Add rose water and add rasgulla balls. Let them cook for 8-10 minutes on medium to high flame.
  10. Once done , let them cool down
  11. Refrigerate them for 2 hours or more before serving
  12. Garnish them with saffron strands and serve.
