ABOUT Mohanthal RECIPE

Its a very famous sweet dish of gujrat.made with gramflaur. Its taste so yum and its a perfect sweet dish for any occasion.

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. Gramflaur- 2cup
  2. Clarified butter (ghee) -1 cup +1tablespoons
  3. Sugar- 2 1/2 cup
  4. Milk-2tablespoons
  5. Cardamom powder- 1/2 teaspoon
  6. Cashewnut- 8-9 chopped
  7. Water-1 1/4 cup

Instructions

  1. First sieve gramflaur.
  2. Heat a pan add clarified butter now immediately add milk and mix well.switch off the flam.
  3. Now add this mixture in gramflaur and mix with your palm.
  4. Mixture should be look like bread crumbs.rest it for 10 minutes
  5. Heat water in a pan add sugar and bring it to boil.when it's start boiling cook it for another 4 minutes till you get 1 thread consistency.now add cardmom powder mix well and switch off the flam.
  6. Now heat 1 cup of ghee in a heavy bottom pan.
  7. Now add gramflaur mixture.
  8. Roast it on medium flam till brown in colour and leaves aroma.
  9. Now add sugar syrup and and stir continue.
  10. Cook it for 2 minutes.
  11. Now switch off the flam and pour this mixture in to a grease tray or thali.
  12. Garnish with cashewnut and cut into pieces.
