Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Rice flour 3 cups
  2. urad dal 1 cup
  3. Coconut grated 2 cup
  4. Jageery 1 cup
  5. Fennel seeds 3tsl
  6. Milk 1 cup
  7. DRY FRUITS 1 CUP
  8. Baking powder 1tsp
  9. Baking soda 1tsp
  10. Ghee 4tsp
  11. Oil 1tsp
  12. Cardamom powder 2tsp
  13. Coconut pieces

Instructions

  1. First take the rice flour sieve it thoroughly
  2. Now in a vessel add the grinded ural dal batter.
  3. Now add all the ingredients listed and whisk thoroughly. Give a pulse in the grinder for the spongy texture.
  4. Now we will bake this pitha in khadai. Add fennel seeds with a 1tsp of ghee in the khadai. Pour the batter. Add some chopped dry fruits. Again drizzle ghee. Cover it with a layer of banana leaf. Cover it with a lid.
  5. Cook on slow flame for 45 mins till golden brown and little burnt. You can oven bake too.
  6. Now check after 45 mins if baked properly. Remove from flame and take a tray to flip the pitha. Serve hot or chilled as per choice. Enjoy the yummy delicious pitha.
