ABOUT chocolate bajra laddoo RECIPE

Bajra laddoo made with Gond and some topped with chocolate ganache for enticing the kids.

Ingredients Serving: 10

  1. 200 gm bajra ( millet flour)
  2. 250 gm jaggery powder
  3. 150 gm ghee
  4. 2 tbsp Gond
  5. 1/2 tsp Cardamom powder
  6. 2 tbsp chopped Almonds
  7. 2 tbsp chopped cashewnuts
  8. 1/2 cup Chocolate ganache
  9. 1 tsp chopped pistachios, for garnish

Instructions

  1. First of all, take little ghee in a thick bottom pan and put Gond pieces in it and fry on low flame.
  2. They will puff up and get light brown in colour, take them out at this stage and let cool.
  3. In the same pan, add rest of the ghee and put the millet flour and keep stirring and roasting the flour till it changes colour.
  4. It will take approx 15-20 mins , when the flour is roasted well in ghee and changes colour, add cardamom powder and take it out in a big plate.
  5. Grind the Gond pieces in a grinder and keep aside.
  6. When the flour gets a little cool, add jaggery powder, Gond, chopped nuts and almonds and mix well.
  7. When the mixture is little warm, shape them into laddoos and keep aside.
  8. Take half cup chocolate ganache and dip half of the laddoos in it and invert and keep them on a rack.
  9. Sprinkle some chopped pistachios on the coated laddoos and serve when chocolate sets.
