This is a Indian cookie which I had learnt during my stay in Benaras,UP

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. 1/2 cup ghee or clarified butter
  2. 1 cup powdered sugar
  3. 1 cup maida or refined flour
  4. 1/3 cup besan
  5. 2 tbsp rava or fine semolina
  6. A pinch of salt
  7. 1 tsp cardamom powder

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven at 180 C
  2. In a mixing bowl add ghee or clarified butter ,(which should not be melted but flowing in thicker consistency )and sugar.
  3. Beat till sugar dissolves.
  4. Sieve flour and besan once
  5. Add flour mixture, salt and cardamom powder to the ghee mixture.
  6. Mix well
  7. No need to knead the flour, mix the dough with light hands
  8. Keep aside for 15 min
  9. Line a baking tray with parchment paper.
  10. Pinch small dough balls and roll them lightly on your palm.
  11. Bake them for 20-25 mins
  12. Check till it is done.
  13. Let them cool.
